The partners in Harper Keeley are highly experienced and qualified professionals who undertake work with a range of clients in the UK and internationally. Each of the partners  has had a successful career for more than over 40 years, enabling them to offer specialist advice and services based on many years practical experience. The partners focus their activities in two main areas.

The first area is leadership and management in innovation, research, technology transfer and commercialisation in the medical and healthca​re sector, generally working across the interface of these different activities. This includes the complex challenge of developing an idea through research, assessing the value of the innovation and then commercialising the idea, forming a company if appropriate.  In all cases we seek to ensure that the appropriate evidence is either sought or provided.

The second is business development and organisational support for small companies and charities.  Furthermore we are willing to consider undertaking work for charities or NGOs on a pro bono basis. The extent of the work we would undertake would need to be both clearly defined and time limited and we would work with the charity to establish the scope and expectations. We will also consider undertaking work for companies limited by guarantee (ie not for profit), social enterprises or selected SMEs on a reduced fee or pro bono basis, depending on circumstances.

We have experience of working in all the main sectors including the public and government sector, the private and commercial sector, the education sector and the charitable and NGO sector. We can offer advice on any aspect of our business to an individual, or an institution or company, through a specific point of contact. Advice can be offered through regular face-to-face meetings or via digital communication. We would steer users towards appropriate regulated professional expertise, eg legal and financial services, as required.

Harper Keeley LLP was formed five years ago to provide a working environment for experts and specialists who are either ceasing fulltime employment but wish to continue offering and utilising their skills and expertise, or who wish to work more independently.
